Zavojsko jezero - Vila Jezero

Pros: A cozy house by the lake with an excellent view. The house is far from the city, located in a peaceful and quiet place, which we really liked. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. The owner is hospitable, treated us to homemade wine, and told us about the location of the house (Zavojsko jezero). The unpaved road to the house (3 kilometers) is in not bad condition, and even a small car can easily reach it without rushing. Definitely recommend it. ps: orange cat and dog are cute!

Pros: Sve je bilo kako treba, sve preporuke za smestaj i pohvale za domacina Dejana koji nam je ispricao istoriju mesta. Nemojte da vas plasi makadamski put, polako i stize se, mi sa nasim niskim autom nismo imali problema.

Pros: Amazing view, peaceful escape in nature, walking paths in the shadows of the trees with birds singing. Rental is new and it has all you need for your stay and owner Dejan is a great support with pragmatic advises and a bit of history and storytelling. There are a lot of amazing places you can visit nearby. We will return for sure.

Glorious stay and food

Pros: Vila Jezero is at a magical location away from everything and Dejan is the most obliging, attentive host with a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history. The food is exceptional! Our group loved everything about the stay, including the spacious apartments, walks in the area and a swim in the lake.

Cons: There was nothing not to like

Beautiful for families, the house can accomodate more people, two terraces with a wonderful view and don’t forget to ask

Excellent lakeside view and location to explore the mountains in the region

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts. We travelled with our 2 years old toddler and we received great recommendations what to see in the region based on our needs. The view from the apartment was superb, it was great that we had multiple terraces so we could choose where to sit depending on the sun conditions.

Cons: The last few km-s of the road are in the forest, so be prepared for a bumpy road, but in exchange you will get closer to the nature.

We loved staying at Vila Jezero and would visit again.

Pros: The location is excellent to enjoy some peace and quiet and nice views of the lake. The host Dejan was very helpful and kind enough to give us a boat ride on the lake. There are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity, so stock up if you don't have a car.

Cons: The bed was too hard for me, but my husband liked it. Everything else was great.

A lakeside villa in the mountains with an exceptional host

Pros: The location of the accommodation is perfect: it's an easy, 10-minute stroll to Zavoj Lake; you can admire its beauty from the villa's loggia. The surroundings are super quiet and the natural scenery is breathtaking. There are two units within the same house and both are on two levels (the spacious bedroom is upstairs). The accommodation is stocked with everything you'll need. The host lives nearby and he is unarguably the friendliest host I've ever stayed with, so far. We got complimentary coffee and rakija, as well as the opportunity to purchase local products.

Cons: There are no real downsides, just a couple of things to keep in mind. The last 3 kilometers leading downhill to the villa are along a macadam road, so you need to drive slowly (c. 15 km/h) and carefully; we made it in a B-segment car. :) The host provided us with clear instructions on how to get to the property from Pirot. There is a huge, wooden signpost at the end of the macadam road and we parked uphill from the villa. Like with everything, the host will offer you help with the luggage. :)
